WSQ Certificate in Perform Security Duties at Protected Places and Areas is a compulsory course for Security Officer who want to work at restricted areas.
This course aims to equip learners with the basic knowledge and skills required to prevent unauthorized entries to protected places and protected areas in a professional manner.
By the end of the course, learners are expected to be able to perform the following learning
outcomes:
- Learners will have the knowledge of security safeguards for building under the Infrastructure Protection Act (IPA 2017).
- Learners will be able to manage and refuse entries into the buildings with screening, search, detention and arrest.
- Learners will be able to detect, deter and stop unauthorized intelligence and suspicious activities surrounding buildings.
A Statement of Attainment (SOA) will be awarded to the individual when he successfully completed each module and assessed to be competent.
Application / Entry Requirement
- Candidates must be above the age of 16 at the time of application.
- No minimum educational requirements. However, candidates must meet the required workplace literacy and numeracy level and should possess the relevant assumed skills and knowledge.
Course Duration: 2 days + 2 hours of assessment
